John O'Hara - The positioning of organic forms against rigid, stark forms suggest psychological anxieties and is intended to illustrate the tensions between the jaded and the innocent, the vulgar and the gentle. It serves to document the character revealed by the ingesting, digesting and purging of an idea. My imagery stems from a state of mental candidness through which I attempt to receive and respond to the definite spontaneity drizzling forth from an open consciousness.
